Vacation in Southern Europe: Rome

Ssssoooo, Rome was a bit different from Venice and was much like any other major city. Big, alive, lots of lights and sounds (ah, I wax poetic, eh?). Several items of note.....there are hundreds of buses and quite a few trains...do yourself a favor and remember the stop of your hotel...slightly important....jjjuuussttt slightly.

Oh and another thing...some of the areas, stores, hotels, and clothing styles in their every day setting made my closet look like a joke. I'm am not a clothing guy by any stretch of the imagination, but if I'm going to buy something, I'll (sometimes) put an effort into it (as long as it doesn't take more than 15 minutes in Express), but these Europeans know how to dress! Several run-of-the-mill stores there, on normal street corners, have the modern/urban decor styles that you have to order here....its painful to see a mocked up living room in a back road store's window that would be the envy of the W Hotel in the US.

Aaaannnyyywwaaayy, we actually were in Rome twice for a total of about 4 days, so the pictures below are over the course of a few days....bbuutt first, plugging for the hotels...now, if only they'd pay me....(the photos of the hotels were not taken by me)

Sites: Vatican City, the Colosseum, The Pantheon, Roman Forum, Piazza Navona, the Spanish Steps, and a few others that I can't remember.
